SPECIAL ISSUE

ARTISTIC EXCESS DURING ABSOLUTE MONARCHY:
FRANCO-IBERIAN VIEWS ON 17^TH CENTURY

Papers are invited for a special number of Transitions: Journal of Franco-Iberian Studies  to be devoted to the Seventeenth Century. In alignment, with the journal’s scope, papers should address the circulation, transformation, cultural adaptation and criticism of ideas and of literary and artistic forms that have taken place between Spain and France during this Siglo de Oro or Grand Siècle. 

This special issue will appear in December 2009. The deadline for submissions is September 30^th, 2009. Transitions accepts original articles written in English, French or Spanish. The essays should not exceed 6500 words. Please submit papers along with a 200 word abstract and formatted in MLA style to:
